RCF Locks In 1.3 Million Tons of Urea, Completes February 18 Tender

RCF has issued Letters of Intent (LOI) to all suppliers who participated in its February 18 tender, securing over 1.3 million tons of urea supply for both east and west coasts of India. The state-owned fertilizer importer has arranged 844,550 tons of urea for the west coast at a price of USD 508 per ton CFR (Cost and Freight), while the east coast allocation amounts to 463,200 tons at USD 512 per ton CFR.

Originally, RCF had sought to load up to 1.5 million tons of urea by March 31—800,000 tons for the west coast and 700,000 tons for the east coast. This procurement aligns with India's typical fertilizer import pattern, where the west coast receives supplies primarily from North Africa, Egypt, the Middle East, and Iran, while the east coast is supplied mainly by China and Southeast Asian countries.
